The acute illness screen is an advanced blood screen and urine test for anyone with an acute illness who feels they would benefit from investigations to look at a possible cause. If the GP suggests this test at an emergency consultation, then there will be a discounted price from the above and it will be discussed at the time.
Initial Appointment
During an initial 15-minute consultation your bloods will be taken, along with health readings including O2 saturations, BP, pulse, height and weight.
What does this test for?
It tests for multiple markers in the blood associated with acute illness, including: Full blood count, Kidney function, Bone health, infection/inflammation markers, Iron studies, Diabetes check, Liver health, Muscle Health, Gout test and urine check.
How long will this test take to come back?
The results of this test will be back within 24 hours and followed up by the GP, who will call with any urgent results and arrange a time to go through the results in more detail.
