We specifically use Aqualyx as it has been medically researched and clinically evidenced, over the last 15 years, to show that it works and that the treatment is safe.
How do fat dissolving injections work?
They contain Deoxycholic acid, a drug proven to effectively rupture fat cell membranes, to break down the fat cells, thus enabling the body to naturally eliminate it as a waste product. Sounds clever, but In fact, deoxycholic acid is the way our body emulsifies and solubilises dietary fats in the intestine!
How long does it take?
Although the procedure doesn’t take long, it is important to note that the results are not immediate! It takes time for our body to breakdown the fat molecules, re absorb and eliminate them! We suggest between 2-3 treatments about 6 weeks apart.
