About our expert GP Dr Jenny Graham
After prior roles in NHS administration and complaints, Dr Graham pursued a career change, studying medicine as a mature student. She graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Manchester University in 2006. Since then, Dr Jen’s medical journey has been rich and varied, encompassing roles in emergency medicine, general surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, respiratory medicine, gastroenterology, and paediatrics across Northwest hospitals. However her passion has always been primary care and family medicine.
As a local GP partner for more than a decade, Dr Graham loves the diversity inherent in general practice, maintaining a broad interest across all medical domains. Although she has particular interests in Women’s and Men’s Health, musculoskeletal medicine, dermatology and minor surgery.
Her down to earth but professional nature has made her a popular GP at her NHS practice. She has branched out to private medicine to be able to give more time to patients than a standard 10minute NHS appointment allows.
Dr Jen is available for routine GP appointments, joint injections, medicals and aesthetics (procedures and medical-grade skin treatments).
Private GP Consultations
Our private GP Consultations offer flexibility and have the advantage of personalised and timely care by an experienced GP with many years of NHS primary care experience. They are carried out at our easily accessible, brand-new clinic in Scarisbrick.
Frequently Asked Questions
What If I have more than one thing to discuss with the Doctor?
If you have more than one thing that you would like to discuss, our Standard Private GP Appointment is for you. This is a 30-minute consultation with plenty of time to discuss your issues. It is also great for mental health, complex health issues and women’s health. If you only have one problem, such as an acute infection, joint pain or a skin condition, a 15-minute Express GP Appointment is ideal. If you are still not sure which you need, please call us, and we can advise you.
Can someone accompany me during a consultation?
You are welcome to bring friend or family member with you to a private GP appointment. It can often be helpful to bring someone, as a lot of information can often be discussed. Your friend or family member can remind you to ask certain questions or to write down answers to questions whilst you listen.
What if I need any tests, or a referral?
Blood tests can be organised at our sister clinic in the centre of Burscough and tailored to your concerns or medical conditions. There are extra costs related to blood tests and these will be discussed with you by our clinicians. Should you prefer to be referred to your own GP at this point, with recommendations, our GP will send the consultation summary to them for further action.
After a consultation with a GP, we can refer to specialist Consultants, for investigations including scans (including CT/MRI/USS) and if necessary, NHS fast track cancer referrals.
